The Coalition on Homelessness and Housing in Ohio (COHHIO) has been holding "In Your Community" roundtable discussion events in October around the state about overcoming barriers to housing.

Oriana House, along with the Ohio Community Corrections Association (OCCA), participated in one such event in Tiffin, where the focus was on Housing and Criminal Justice. The event was held at Tiffin University and was one of four discussions COHHIO held that was centered on housing barriers for previously incarcerated citizens.

Oriana House Program Manager Shannon Maag presented information about the additional housing challenges when individuals are trying to return to a rural area and explained the ways Oriana House staff work to help our clients overcome these barriers.

A representative from COHHIO thanked Oriana House and OCCA for "all the energy" they put into the event, saying, "This was a great roundtable with tons of engaging discussion providing valuable information to put toward policy recommendations."
